Presumed Sexual Health Reveals Sexual Disorder

A 35-year-old man, previously believed to have a robust sexual physiology due to prolonged intercourse lasting an hour, was diagnosed with delayed ejaculation and weak, malformed sperm.

On March 27th, Dr. John Smith, Head of the Urology and Andrology Department, disclosed that upon examination, the man presumed his prolonged erections were indicative of robust sexual health. However, assessments revealed the patient suffered from delayed ejaculation. Semen analysis indicated weak sperm and a significant proportion of abnormalities.

His wife disclosed that despite being married for three years, they had not conceived. She had encouraged him to seek medical advice on numerous occasions, but he had declined.

The patient was prescribed medication, nutritional supplements, and advised on sexual intercourse practices by the doctor. If conception did not occur within six months, assisted reproductive techniques would be considered.

Dr. Smith emphasized that many men with delayed ejaculation exhibit clear warning signs but refrain from seeking medical attention due to the misconception of being healthy. This affects both their sexual lives and family planning.

“A typical intercourse lasts 7-15 minutes. If a man engages in sexual activity for over 30 minutes without ejaculation, it’s considered delayed ejaculation,” Dr. Smith stated.

Delayed ejaculation, also known as anejaculation, falls within the spectrum of sexual dysfunction disorders. Causes may include psychological issues, medical conditions, medication use, depression, and previous sexual abuse. Long-term masturbation habits can also lead to delayed ejaculation or retrograde ejaculation.

Treating delayed ejaculation is more challenging than premature ejaculation and can have severe consequences such as loss of libido, frustration for the partner, anxiety, and affecting family happiness.

When sexual activity exhibits unusual signs such as decreased pleasure or delayed ejaculation, men should proactively seek specialized medical attention.
